A water main break has all northbound lanes of South Yosemite Street shut down north of East Hampden Avenue in Denver on Tuesday morning.
Denver Water officials said a 12-inch-diameter water main broke at Yosemite and Hampden a little before 6 p.m. Monday.
“Access to the broken water main, installed in 1971, is taking longer than expected because of the extensive amount of infrastructure surrounding the pipe,” according to Travis Thompson with Denver Water. “The crew also is replacing a broken water valve.”
Denver Water has not identified the cause of the break.
