1 Soda cans used in attack by meth-addled girlfriend. Officers arriving to a house in the 5900 block of Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada on Nov. 11 were greeted by a bruised and bloodied man. The victim told police his girlfriend beat him in the head with a can of Dr. Pepper, followed by an attack with a can of Pepsi after he caught her smoking meth. She continued pummeling him and tried to smash his face with a glass cup. He told police she was “unusually violent this time.”

2 Thunderdome for drunken brawlers. A patrol officer broke up a fight Oct. 12 between two heavily intoxicated men wrestling and trading punches at night, in the middle of traffic on an ice-covered road in -6 degree weather at West 58th and Simms Street in Arvada. Both faced charges.

3 Car vandal implicates self. A woman upset that another driver cut her off on Nov. 10 left an expletive-laden note on the car’s windshield after it was parked at the Applebee’s at 5265 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada. The suspect told police she “almost got away with it” when questioned about the note and minor car vandalism.

4 Anger issues leads to arrest. Police arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence Nov. 12 after he slammed his girlfriend into a window before punching her in the head in front of Petco at 8031 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada.

5 Boyfriend faces litany of charges. Police arrested a man on multiple charges Nov. 11 in the 5500 block of Newland Way in Arvada after he pinned his girlfriend to the bed, spit in her face then bashed a door after she rejected his sexual advances.
