Interview with Amanda Swartz and Dan Francis, doctors of chiropractic

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: Amanda got involved with chiropractic and owning her own practice because of her personal testimonial and how she found her health solution through neurologically-based chiropractic care. Growing up, she was never exposed to alternative or holistic health care. She was a huge skeptic of chiropractic and thought chiropractic could only help with neck or back pain. She was very blessed to find a principled, neurologically-based chiropractor who assessed her entire nervous system to see if nerve interference was the cause of the depression she was suffering from for many many years.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: We are a neurologically-based chiropractic corrective care facility that focuses on the central nervous system and correcting community members’ health concerns at the source. Our passion is to serve our community in every way possible, through improving the health of our community through proper education allowing every man, woman and child to live a drug-free life the way they were intended. We believe in servanthood and giving back to our community through volunteer work and fundraisers such as school supply drives, Thanksgiving turkey drives and Christmas wishing trees.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: It’s not work. It is serving people and helping people get well. We see people every day getting off drugs and medication, finding their health solution and no longer sick and suffering. My favorite part of my day is watching lives be changed, or perhaps saving a life.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Our biggest challenge is only having one office. We meet people from all over the Denver area who are seeking the care we provide in our office. Even through they may not be able to make it to our office, we are able to refer them to other, trusted chiropractors that practice the same principle we do — pure chiropractic.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: We specialize in pregnant women and children. Research has shown that a pregnant woman who is under principled chiropractic care can reduce labor pain and delivery time by up to 60 percent. We see so many children suffering from ear infections, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, bed wetting, asthma and even acid reflux. We have a practice member who is 26 years old and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at an early age. Since he has been under care, he has reduced his insulin intake by 25 percent and his A1C levels are the lowest they have ever been since he was diagnosed.
