1 Shoplifter has seven warrants. On Nov. 9, Edgewater police officers responded to Target, 1985 Sheridan Blvd., regarding a shoplifting suspect in custody. The suspect had at least seven outstanding arrest warrants, including at least one felony arrest warrant for escape. The suspect initially provided false information regarding his identity, then feigned a medical condition that was determined to be false. The suspect then made several allegations that he had been assaulted by the arresting officer, all of which were determined to be false. He was arrested on all charges.

2 Grease Monkey sleep over. On Nov. 16, Lakewood police officers responded to Grease Monkey, 8801 W. Colfax Ave., regarding a suspicious incident. The business was closed at this time, but police found a man and woman inside. The man was an employee of Grease Monkey, and he said they intended to stay the night inside the building because they were homeless. They issued summonses.

3 Free ride. On Nov. 11, a woman and her son reported their 1997 Ford Expedition was stolen from the 1400 block of Hoyt Street in Lakewood. The woman recalled the vehicle was unlocked and she may have left the key inside the center console. There is no suspect information.

4 Three cited for underage alcohol sales. On Nov. 15, Edgewater police officers conducted an enforcement sweep of licensed liquor sales businesses and bars in Edgewater. Three businesses were cited for violations of the state liquor code for serving or selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover minor operative.
