A driver was critically injured in Aurora Thursday night when his Ford Expedition struck a traffic light pole, police said.
The man was traveling alone going south on Peoria Street when he drifted off the right side of the road and hit the pole at East Fitzsimons Parkway just before 6:30 p.m.
The driver’s name was not released. An Aurora police spokesman said “it is unknown if he will survive his injuries.”
Police suspect the man was intoxicated. He was not wearing wearing a seatbelt.
