The Longmont Museum takes an ambitious leap forward with its current exhibit, “Frederic Remington and Charles Russell: Masterworks from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.” The art, on a four-month road show, from its home at the Cody, Wyo., museum, features the Western art genre’s two biggest stars in a large and diverse array. More than 40 works are included, with 13 bronzes and 21 oil paintings leading a mix of illustrations, pen-and-ink drawings and lithographs. The show also promises rare watercolors by Russell.
