“They specifically said they weren’t going to make their own,” said Lucas after filing the lawsuit.

After a cease-and-desist letter failed to stop GoPro from selling its Jaws Flex Clamp, the pair filed the patent infringement lawsuit, arguing GoPro had copied their ActionPod’s ball-and-socket, rotating connection technology.

On Monday, Mans and Lucas announced they had reached a settlement with GoPro. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The pair are inspired by the rags-to-riches story of GoPro founder Nick Woodman and said they modeled their business on GoPro.

“We look to them as an example of the most awesome success story you can imagine,” Lucas said in May.

Both Mans and Lucas said they were happy with the resolution.

“We’re really bloody pleased it’s over,” Lucas said.
