Denver police announced Thursday evening that a man accused of killing his girlfriend’s kitten is in custody.
Andres Sanchez-Luevano, who was featured on Denver police’s “Mug Shot Monday” on Facebook last week, turned himself in to police Tuesday “after pressure from the community.” police said.
On Nov. 17, police say, Andres Sanchez-Luevano got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend during which he suddenly grabbed her kitten and slammed it to the floor, killing it.
Sanchez-Luevano faces a charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.
