Lawyers for a Fort Carson soldier charged with murdering a comrade overseas say the killing was an accident.
The statements came during an evidence hearing to determine if Spc. Jeffery T. Page will be court-martialed in the death of Spc. Adrian M. Perkins, 19, of Pine Valley, Calif. Perkins died from a gunshot wound to the head at an airbase in Jordan on May 17 as the post’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team helped train Jordanian troops.
Why he died was at the heart of arguments made Monday.
