Authorities in Denver said Tuesday a man accused of has been formally charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony.
Andres Sanchez-Luevano, 23, was arguing with his girlfriend on Nov. 17 when he picked up her 1-month-old kitten and threw it to the floor, killing it, .
Police called Sanchez-Luevano the “kitten killer.”
Sanchez-Luevano, who was arrested last week, was released after posting $5,000 bond.
