Global call center operator Firstsource Solutions Ltd. said Tuesday it plans to hire 300 customer care workers in Colorado Springs by the end of January.
“We are making significant investments in the region and hiring at a rapid pace to support our growth plans,” Michael Roy, vice president at Firstsource, said in a statement. “This is just the beginning for us as we continue to expand and grow our client service capabilities.”
The hires will work on behalf of a new health care client Firstsource has landed, and the announcement marks a reversal of fortune for the company’s presence in Colorado.
In March, at 5725 Mark Dabling Blvd. by September after losing an important contract.
The company’s workforce got down to 50. But in October, Firstsource said it would keep the center open and that the company planned to hire 100 workers there in the next 18 months.
The company hit that target quickly and now plans to add 300 more by the end of January, with additional hires likely throughout 2015.
Besides customer care workers, the company is hiring team managers, recruiters, trainers and technology staff.
Based in India, Firstsource employs more than 27,000 workers at 48 centers in the U.S., United Kingdom, India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.
