Denver-based Mad Greens will celebrate its 10th year in business Wednesday by giving free salads to every 10th customer at any of the company’s 12 Front Range restaurants.

Since it opened its first store a decade ago, Mad Greens has served more than 7 million customers from a menu of scratch-made salads, soups, wraps and panini sandwiches. In all, the chain has served more than 200 tons of spring lettuce mix, 1.9 million heads of romane lettuce and 60 tons of spinach.

A year ago, from the Coors family and Darden Coors joined the company as CEO. Founders Marley Hodgson and Dan Long said then that the funding would enable them to expand.
