Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating after a bank robbery on Tuesday morning that left three schools on lockout.
The robbery happened about 11 a.m. at the 1st Bank on the 6700 block of South Wadsworth Avenue. The county sheriff’s office is using K-9 units to scour the area in search of the suspect.
Deer Creek Middle School and Stoney Creek and Dutch Creek elementary schools were locked out during the search.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the robbery to call their tip line at 303-271-5612.
