Davina Bonser, 44, was extricated from a burning home about 9:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of South Tejon Street, officials said. Bonser, the only person in the home when the fire began, received CPR at the scene before she was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

“We still don’t have a cause just yet,” said Mark Watson, a spokesman, told The Denver Post on Thursday.

The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage and is uninhabitable, Watson said.

The Denver Medical Examiner’s Office says Bonser’s cause and manner of death are pending further investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled.
