At this point, ‘ multi-night runs at This year, the band to three nights, and it has just announced it will do so again in 2015. They’ll also bring along an excellent cast of supporting acts.

On July 10-12, the Avett Brothers will play Red Rocks with John Prine, Lake Street Drive and Sturgill Simpson.

As if it wasn’t already clear, given their annual stays in Colorado, the Avett Brothers love Red Rocks — like, really love Red Rocks. Remember this summer when the band

“Itap really powerful,” Scott Avett said of Red Rocks in the video. “I feel that we’ve been called to it.”

Ticket prices and on sale dates have not been announced, but we’ll update this post when we get that information.

Chances are slim that any area Avett Brothers fan has much of a voice left this morning. Not after three glorious days of confessional sing-alongs and full-throated shout-alongs at Red Rocks.

Chances are great, however, that no one is complaining about their hoarseness.

The three-day, sold-out love-fest added another emphatic line of demarcation to the Avett Brothers’ evolution.
