Both Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried returned to practice on Tuesday, overcoming ailments that kept them out of .
Gallinari has missed the last three games with a bruised right knee. He said he’s not fully healed — and probably won’t be in the foreseeable future — but will play through the pain.
“(The bruises) are going to be there, I’m just going to have to play with discomfort,” Gallinari said. “It’s going to stay a little while. Hopefully it will go away, but it won’t go away for a while, so I’ll just play with discomfort.”
From an injury standpoint, it’s been a slow start for Gallinari, who hoped to be able to put all of his ailments behind him and focus on knocking the rust off 19 months of dormancy following a torn ACL in April 2013.
But he’s not been fully healthy, and the latest injury has cost him games at a time in which he’s seeking additional minutes to work his way back into form.
Meanwhile, Faried missed just one game with the strained right ankle.
JaVale McGee said his injury will keep him out a while, but he’s not sure how long. He said there’s not much besides rest that he can do to help heal the muscle around his tibia.
