Temperatures are expected to hover around seasonal averages this week, with a slight chance of snow moving into the Denver weather forecast.

“There is a chance of snow in Denver late Wednesday into Thursday,” said 7NEWS Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo.

The National Weather Service said there’s a 20 percent chance of snow overnight Wednesday with the low dipping to 22 degrees, accompanied by light, variable winds.

The chance for snow ends Thursday around 11 a.m. when it switches over to a slight chance of rain.

The weather service calls for a high of 38 degrees Tuesday, and topping out at 42 degrees Wednesday through Friday. The seasonal average high for Dec. 16 to 19 is 42 degrees.

The overnight lows this week should drop into the 20s, the weather service said.
