A weak storm is now moving in from the east, bringing some snow to the Western Slope and clouds to the eastern plains. We’re in an unsettled weather pattern that will hold strong through the wekend.

Over the next few days, there will be several periods of snow for the high country, but none of the storms will be strong enough to bring more than 3 to 6 inches at a time. There may be a little more snow hitting the southwest mountains, as a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Wednesday for up to 8 inches in the San Juans.

The good news is that over the course of 5-7 days, these light to moderate storms add up and will keep the skiing conditions fresh and fun!

For lower elevations, some of the moisture can manage to make it to Denver and the eastern plains, but the snow tends to be pretty sparse, perhaps an inch of two at the most.
