Kachina Southwestern Grill in Westminster is doing so well that a new one will open in Denver. (Provided by Sage Restaurant Grill.)
The Denver-based will expand nationwide with five new restaurants, and construction is set to start next month with the first restaurant opening in early 2016. Two will be in Denver.
They’re also rolling out an entirely new concept — a barbeque-focused restaurant is currently in the works for Fort Collins in late 2016.
With the success of its first multi-concept brand, Urban Farmer Cleveland, the group says an additional Urban Farmer location will be among the first wave of openings: one in Philadelphia, and another in a yet unspecified location.
SRG continues the success of two other brands within its portfolio, Kachina Southwestern Grill and , by opening second iterations of each in Denver in 2016. Kachina will be in Cherry Creek and Departure in a new development in LoDo.
New openings will add to the already established and well-received restaurants SRG currently operates nationwide, including Urban Farmer Steakhouses in Portland and Cleveland; pan-Asian concept, Departure, and The Original Dinerant in Portland; Chicago’s Catalan tapas hotspot Mercat a la Planxa with Iron Chef Jose Garces; beachfront Hello Betty Fish House in Oceanside, CA; The Corner Office, a “Mad Men” inspired martini bar and restaurant in the Curtis HOtel downtown Denver; the comfort food eatery Second Home Kitchen + Bar also in Denver (at the J.W. Marriott); and Kachina Southwestern Grill in Westminster.
