A dog that escaped Wednesday night at Denver International Airport has been found safe, Denver Police announced Thursday afternoon on Twitter.

Earlier, a family has asked for the public’s help after their new dog got lost at DIA.

Matt Foley went to DIA’s cargo area, about a mile from the main terminal, on Wednesday night to pick up their new 18-month-old bearded collie Cassie.

Foley had been looking for a bearded collie, like he grew up with, for years. He finally found one being raised by a breeder in Ontario, Canada.

The breeder shipped the dog, Cassie, to Colorado and Foley picked her up, but she was very scared, Foley’s wife, Whitney, told 7News.

When Matt put the dog in the backseat and went to close the door, Cassie jumped out of the car.
