Getting your player ready...

The 94th year of Colorado high school football was supposed to involve rebuilding and reloading.

Not quite.

From Class 5A to 6-man, a competitive regular season carried over into the playoffs. In the state’s biggest class, the all-Centennial League meeting at Sports Authority Field at Mile High ended with Cherry Creek defeating Valor Christian 25-24 in 5A was one for the books. Bruins coach Dave Logan, right, won his seventh state title – at his fourth school. One of Colorado’s greatest athletes and The Post’s Gold Helmet winner in 1971, Logan also is The Denver Post’s coach of the year.
