4) Wild High — Dec. 19, Larimer Lounge

This year treated Denver’s well, so itap only natural to end 2014 on a high note. The band got the chance to open up this summer — sharing the night with Tanlines and People Under the Stairs. They also joined forces with Red Bull Sound Select to get on a few more big shows this year. On Dec. 19, Wild High celebrates the release of its new album “Sdreams” at the Larimer Lounge. The release feels like garage-rock thatap not afraid to take some risks, complete with unexpected melodies and tunings. From a lesser band this style might be off-putting, but with Wild High itap intriguing. ($10, larimerlounge.com)

3) You, Me & Apollo — Dec. 20, Hodi’s Half Note

This will be a bittersweet weekend for quickly rising Fort Collins act . On Dec. 20, the band will . On Dec. 1 , “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the final You Me & Apollo show … We cannot begin to tell you how much appreciate all of the support we have received throughout the years, we love all of you fine people very much.” In their short time together, the band had success in Denver and nationally. This final performance will include openers Slow Caves and the Covz. The show is sold out, meaning we’re not the only one’s eager to raise a glass with You, Me & Apollo.

2) Air Dubai — Dec. 19, Bluebird Theater

Closing out a big 2014, which included the release of and a , Air Dubai will play a headlining show at the Bluebird Theater on Dec. 19. Since getting back from Warped Tour, the band has only played one hometown show — an intimate secret show at the Lost Lake in early September. The Denver hip-hop act that they have, “a few surprises for The Bluebird Theater” show. What could it be? We’re hoping for more lasers, more and more lasers.

1) Nathaniel Rateliff — Dec. 19, Ogden Theatre

There are quite a few people involved with music in Denver who might describe the scene as a family. That family will be celebrating the holiday spirit with local favorite Nathaniel Rateliff at the Ogden Theatre on Dec. 19. As has been tradition for the last few years, Rateliff is throwing his annual holiday party, and this year it has graduated from the Gothic Theatre to the bigger Ogden. He’ll even be opening for himself with his soul act the Night Sweats. Ark Life and comedian Ben Kronberg will also open the show. ($25, ogdentheatre.com)
