Police in Wheat Ridge closed a stretch of Kipling Street after a person drove into a utility pole and fled.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. on the 3900 block of Kipling. The northbound lanes of Kipling were been closed at 38th Avenue and the southbound lanes closed at 39th Avenue.

The road was closed for about an hour.

“The driver hit the pole and immediately left the scene,” police said. “There is no suspect info at this time.”
