1 Man robbed while taking out the trash. On Dec. 14, a man was robbed while taking out the garbage near his home in the 300 block of Detroit Street. The man told Denver police he was taking the garbage to the curb when a man approached and demanded his wallet. He was punched.
2 Disturbance at Burger King. Denver police responded to a fight Dec. 16 at a Burger King, 1010 W. Colfax Ave. Police learned that a man had been exchanging words with another person at the restaurant and charged at him, hitting him in the face. The fight escalated and others got involved. A security officer was able to break up the melee.
3 Man assaulted during vodka robbery. On Dec. 11, a man was assaulted during a liquor store shoplift where a man stole two bottles of vodka. Denver police responded to HJM Wine and Spirits, 2016 W. 32nd Ave., and contacted the victim, who observed the suspect take two bottles and try to leave the store. After he confronted the suspect, a struggle ensued.
4 Scene made at bank. A man was arrested Dec. 12 after causing a scene at a bank after learning his account had been closed. Denver police responded to the Wells Fargo bank, 1601 Blake St., and learned that the suspect had become upset when hearing his account had been closed. He was asked to leave and police were called when he refused.
5 Phone line cut. On Dec. 13, Denver police responded to Shawarma King, 2410 S. Colorado Blvd., after the phone lines were cut. It appeared the suspect was trying to break a window but only cracked the glass.
