1 Food fight leads to arrest. A woman was arrested for attacking her boyfriend Dec. 10 in the 1800 block of South Wadsworth Boulevard when he became angry that she cooked noodles “he paid for.” The intoxicated couple began struggling over a pan and she refused to leave his house when the fight ended. She admitted to “clawing” his face and called him a “worthless pig” after being arrested.
2 Mail thief caught red-handed. Police received multiple calls Dec. 10 from residents in the area of South Hoyt Street and West Mexico Avenue who saw an Asian male opening mailboxes and stealing mail. Officers found and arrested the man.
3 Driver flashes handgun. A driver angry he had been cut off near 98 Wadsworth Blvd. on Dec. 10 yelled at the other driver, who then flashed a semi-automatic handgun. The victim called police, who found the suspect vehicle in a nearby parking lot. No charges were filed.
4 Restraining order ignored, man arrested. A woman flagged down police in the area of West Colfax Avenue and Saulsbury Street on Dec. 10. She told officers she had walked into her motel room to find an ex-boyfriend, who had a restraining order against seeing her, with a mutual friend. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
5 Jilted boyfriend destroys mirror.A man upset over a broken relationship began throwing things once his soon-to-be-ex began packing her things Dec. 10 in the 400 block of South Wright Street. He punched a mirror multiple times before ripping it off the wall and slamming it into his head. He was arrested on domestic violence charges.
