Authorities have identified a man on Monday night.

Scott Gadsby, 46, of Parker, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Gadsby was ejected from the 2000 Toyota 4Runner he was driving.

“He lost control on the icy road and the vehicle began to rotate,” said Trooper Nate Reid.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected have contributed to the crash, Reid said.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes at about 7:40 p.m. roughly one mile from Interstate 25.
