Re: “Wave of tech disruptions is just beginning,” Dec. 21 Perspective article.

Vivek Wadhwa wrote that “changes in technology are happening at a scale which was unimaginable before and will cause disruption in industry after industry.” Thatap true especially in the realm of education, where the traditional classroom model has evolved.

As the head of the Colorado Preparatory Academy and Insight School of Colorado — tuition-free, online public schools — I see firsthand how disruptive technology supports learning. These schools, which combine online and face-to-face instruction, provide a unique level of focused, personalized education.

It makes school choice a reality for kids all over the state — something traditional school models alone can’t provide — and is uniquely suited for students who are learning at a different pace than their peers. While itap not the right fit for every student, this provides an additional option for Colorado families and helps raise the bar for all schools.
