Through Dec. 31. December is full of holiday programming, though most of it winds down by the time Christmas comes around. Luckily, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra saves its best material for the bitter end. The CSO’s enduringly popular “Too Hot To Handel” is set for Dec. 27 and 28. The program, a gospel remix of the “Messiah,” features soprano Cynthia Renée and mezzo Vaneese Thomas, with Leslie Stifelman returning to conduct. Bringing it home will be the Too Hot To Handel Community Chorus, directed by Mary Louise Burke and Travis Branam. On Dec. 31, the orchestra resurrects its very traditional “A Night in Vienna” with Scott O’Neil leading a selection of waltzes and more programmed just for New Year’s Eve. It all takes place at Boettcher Concert Hall, Denver Performing Arts Complex. 303-623-7876 or .
