A fire that ignited in a kiln at CoorsTek in Golden was quickly extinguished early Christmas morning, a Golden Fire official said.
The fire started in a kiln used to make ceramics including body armor and special medical equipment, said Karlyn Tilley, Golden fire spokeswoman.
“It didn’t spread in the building,” Tilley said.
The fire was out within 20 minutes after firefighters arrived at the plant, she said. No one was injured by the blaze, she said.
