Colorado is one of several states experiencing widespread flu.
This week, Larimer County reported that the number of people hospitalized for flu had doubled from 42 to 84.
Now pharmacists and a hospital in a major ski-area county are reporting a big jump in the number of people who are exhibiting flu symptoms.
“Between Dec. 6 and Dec. 22, we had 16 people treated in the emergency department,” said Mary Hendrickson, vice president of patient services at Summit County Medical Center. “All except one had Type A influenza.”
