Fire crews in Colorado Springs battled a duplex blaze on Tuesday morning that left one person with minor burn injuries.

The fire started about 9:30 a.m. on the 1300 block of Westend Avenue.

Photos from the scene showed heavy smoke and fire pouring from a two-story blue duplex. Fire officials said everyone who was in the home has been evacuated but that “there are injuries.”

Fire officials said they have identified one victim “so far.”

The Pikes Peak chapter of the Red Cross said it was responding to the blaze.
