Through April 30. Writer, teacher, painter Craig Marshall Smith is one of Denver’s more colorful characters, and his exhibition of paintings at Denver International Airport is equally entertaining. “Paintings for Airports” is a series of 28 abstract oils that unfold as you take the moving walkway down to the end of Terminal A. This would be an odd way to appreciate paintings, but Smith makes it work by presenting art with the sort of big, bold and colorful strokes that can make their impact on the move. Think of it as highway-billboard art, only with smaller billboards, and a much lower speed limit. Definitely worth the ride even if you’re departing from another terminal. And you can always step off the walkway to spend a little more time. Lots of opportunity to catch this show, which runs through April 30. 303-342-2000 or .
