Jan. 6. Classical at Dazzle begins 2015 with a concert exploring the connections between classical music and jazz, a fitting program for a series that actually does bring classical music to Denver’s premiere jazz nightclub on a regular basis. This concert tracks that time in the 20th century when jazz rhythms and riffs started creeping into the writing of such composers as Ravel and Debussy. There’s also some Copland, Bernstein and Gershwin in the mix. The concert adds Reggie Berg’s new “Broadway and 125th” for cello and piano (with Richard Von Foerster and Berg himself) and some harp music performed by Rebecca Moritzky. Other musicians: Emily Ondracek-Peterson, Tamara Goldstein, Lamont Saxophone Quartet and more. 7 p.m. Jan. 6, Dazzle, 930 Lincoln St. $15. 303-839-5100 or
