1Chump steals change. A property manager of a building on Golden Circle , Golden, reported that sometime on Dec. 10, someone drilled out the lock to a vending machine in a laundry room in order to steal its money. The thief had put a sticky substance over a security camera and made out with about $4 in change.

2Ex-boyfriend, new boyfriend don’t get along. A man who had been having issues with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 15 to record yet another confrontation between the two at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 10853 U.S. 285, Conifer. The reporting party said the man followed him throughout the store and harassed him before management asked them to leave. Police contacted the new boyfriend, who said the ex instigated the matter, but admitted he responded with similar antagonism.

3Runner’s car vandalized, wallet stolen. Golden police reported to the Chimney Gulch trailhead off Lookout Mountain Road on Dec. 16 in response to a criminal trespass. The victim said she parked her car there to go for a trail run and returned to find the car’s driver’s side window broken and her wallet missing. There were no witnesses or leads.

4Squatter at RTD garage. Golden police went to the RTD garage at 605 Johnson Road on Dec. 13 on a report of a woman who was sleeping there. The woman said she needed shelter and so police transported her to the police department where she got a food bag and hotel voucher, and then to a nearby motel where she checked into a room.
