ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — A guide with Aspen Mountain Powder Tours is safe after he was caught in an avalanche on the back side of Aspen Mountain.
The man was carried about 400 feet downhill and ended up on top of the snow.
An Aspen Mountain ski patroller was working nearby and hauled the injured skier to get help. Aspen Skiing Co. spokesman Jeff Hanle says the accident occurred Thursday morning.
According to the Aspen Times (http://tinyurl.com/lg6w8c7 ), the name of the injured guide wasn’t released by the ski company. Hanle says the man was in good condition Friday.
