coachella

kind of crept up on everybody this year with the lineup release for 2015. And sadly, another year has gone by without having the Smiths headline. Sigh. That doesn’t mean that face-melting won’t occur, or booty-shaking, especially with AC/DC leading the charge with Drake in tow. Look for the festivities to take place over two weekends, April 10-12 and April 17-19. Random addition for this year’s festival: Steely Dan.

Here are some highlights from the Coachella 2015 lineup: reunited Ride, Mac DeMarco, Built to Spill, Panda Bear, Angel Olsen Tame Impala, FKA Twigs, SBTRKT, Tyler the Creator, Father John Misty, the War on Drugs Azealia Banks, Flying Lotus, Raekwon and Ghostface, Run the Jewels, Swans, Parquet Courts, Perfume Genius, Florence and the Machine, St. Vincent and others.

You can see the full Coachella 2015 lineup above. Tickets will go on-sale Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. MST.

From our recap of day three of Coachella 2014:

Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Preservation Jazz Hall Band joined Arcade Fire during its headlining set on day three of Coachella 2014 on Sunday. During the set Win Butler had some critical comments about the festival, calling out Coachella’s “fake VIP room bullshit” and giving a shout-out to “all the bands still playing actual instruments.” Throughout the day, Slash made a surprise appearance at Motorhead’s set, Mary J. Blige and Sam Smith performed with Disclosure and Lana Del Rey debuted the new song “West Coast.” But, unfortunately, the day also brought out Justin Bieber performing as hype man during Chance the Rapper’s set.
