
WATCH:
The mother of a 3-year-old girl killed in a Greeley mobile home fire over the weekend and her boyfriend have been released from medical care and booked into jail on suspicion of felony child abuse.
Kristen Braig, 27, and Dustin Blanchard, 34, were released from the North Colorado Medical Center on Monday and booked into the Weld County Jail on the charge of felony child abuse resulting in death. Both remain in custody this morning pending appearance in court, police said.
Lileigh Kellenaers was fatally injured in the Saturday blaze.
Investigators found Braig and Blanchard had left the Lileigh home alone for an unknown amount of time during when the fire started at about 11:50 p.m.
The couple returned to find the mobile home at 711 26th Ave., ablaze.
First responders found police officers administering first aid to the three before ambulances took them to North Colorado Medical Center where Lileigh was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released a cause in the two-alarm blaze.
A total of 27 firefighters were involved in the response and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes.Some nearby homes sustained fire and heat damage.
Court records in the case have been sealed.
