1 Won’t go quietly.A shoplifter had to be hogtied with kick stop restraints outside the Kohl’s at 12090 Colorado Blvd., Thornton, Dec. 17 because she was thrashing at police . The suspect was caught trying to steal a pair of shoes.
2 Perceptions of reality. A man broke into his neighbor’s garage in the 9100 block of Albion Street, Thornton, Dec. 18 because he thought his own house was being robbed and people were following him. The suspect admitted that he was on drugs.
3 Playing possum. A woman who lives in the 5200 block of East 119th Way, Thornton, called police because her drunken friend was throwing things and punching the walls. When police arrived, the suspect pretended to be asleep on the couch, though she had her eyes partially opened Dec. 17. She was arrested.
4 Parking lot bar. Customers of the 7-Eleven at 1600 W. 92nd Ave., Federal Heights, called police on a man who was sitting on the ground in the parking lot drinking a large can of Steel Reserve Lager Dec. 12. The man told officers he wanted to just drink in peace. He was arrested.
5 Pink-haired sisters. Police arrested a woman with pink hair Dec. 16 after she was accused of attacking a woman who lives in the 9000 block of Madeline Street, Federal Heights. The suspect claimed the victim, who also has pink hair, was her sister.
6 Blaring TV. Several neighbors of a woman who lives in the 9000 block of Mandel Street, Federal Heights, called police because they heard screaming in her home Dec. 21. It turned out it was just her TV turn up too loud.
