WASHINGTON — A top liberal activist from Boulder is joining forces with a veteran Capitol Hill watchdog to form a new public affairs firm, Triumph Strategy, which will focus on “crisis communications” and “disruption strategies,” according to a announcing the venture.
One half of the duo is , founder of ProgressNow and to Gov. John Hickenlooper during the Democratic incumbentap successful run for re-election last year.
The other half is Melanie Sloan, the longtime executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a watchdog group that has been accused of bias by conservatives, but whose projects – including its list – has named both Democrats and Republicans.
Reflecting its leadership, the group plans to have offices in both Washington and Boulder. Targeted clients run the gamut, from politicians to unions to non-profits.
