1 Burger money. A teacher at Global Village Academy, 16401 E. Alameda Drive, called police because two of her students stole cash from her wallet Dec. 19. Surveillance footage of the classroom revealed the guilty students, who apologized but said they spent the money at Burger King.
2 Angel smasher. Police were called to the 23400 block of East Saratoga Circle Dec. 23 because someone went onto a woman’s porch and broke her patio furniture, knocked over her tree and broke her collection of ceramic angels.
3 Curfew. A woman was arrested for throwing a beer bottle at her boyfriend and smashing his car window Dec. 21. The suspect told police she was angry because the victim came back to their home in the 16200 block of East Alameda Place 30 minutes late. She tried to stop him from leaving the house by hanging on the passenger window. She was arrested.
4 Smash and grab. Someone stole a Bluetooth stereo out of a woman’s truck while it was parked in the 3700 block of South Yampa Street Dec. 23. The victim’s window was shattered, and there are no suspects.
5 Vandals target police car. On Dec. 19, unknown suspects cut the oil filter on an Aurora patrol car that is usually parked at the police station at 15001 E. Alameda Parkway.
6 Locked out. Police responded to the 16800 block of East 13th Avenue Dec. 19 because a woman broke the basement window to her mother’s home. The woman’s mother locked her daughter out because she was tired of taking care of her. The woman was charged with damaging property.
