1 Line-cutting leads to parking lot fight. Lakewood police responded Dec. 27 to a fight in progress in the parking lot of Walmart, 440 Wadsworth Blvd. The fight, which was broken up by store security, began inside the store at the self-checkout line over who was first in line. Minor injuries were reported, and two men were cited for disorderly conduct.

2 Drunken man threatens officers. On Dec. 30, officers responded to the Cooler Bar, 2045 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater, regarding a welfare check on a possible intoxicated man sleeping in a vehicle. The 43-year-old Boulder man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. During the arrest, the man made several threats of violence against the officers.

3 Man gives fake name, violates protection order. On Dec. 29, a Lakewood police officer responded to the 10400 block of West Iliff Avenue on a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by three men, who appeared to be very nervous. The front passenger provided a fake name and was found hiding a bottle of Bacardi between his feet at the floor of the car. He was arrested for false reporting and violating a protection order.

4 Police investigate woman, children screaming. On Jan. 4, Edgewater police officers responded to the area of West 26th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard regarding a woman screaming. Investigation led officers to an apartment in the 2600 block of Kendall Street, from which they heard the sounds of crying children and yelling. A 23-year-old woman was arrested for obstructing a police officer.
