Authorities in Eagle County have made an arrest in the shooting of a man who was found wounded in a Minturn alley early Monday morning.
Jaime David Quintana, 43, from Minturn, was arrested without incident on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault at about 8 a.m. Quintana is being held at the county jail.
A 46-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and in serious condition at about 5 a.m., the county sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The man, who was found on the northern end of town, was taken to Vail Valley Medical Center. The victim has been stabilized.
The sheriff’s office said it is continuing to investigate the shooting and that investigators are in the process of serving search warrants in the case.
