1 Neighborly letters. A resident of the 31000 block of John Wallace Road, Evergreen, reported receiving a harassing letter from a neighbor Dec. 28. The letter threatened to render the resident “unable to eat another meal without a straw,” because the author felt targeted by the resident and other neighbors. After taking the letter to Jefferson County Sheriff’s mountain precinct, the resident returned home to find an apology letter signed by the same neighbor.
2 Double theft at Lake House. An employee of the Evergreen Resport Apparel kiosk inside Evergreen Lake House, 29205 Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, reported Jan. 1 the theft of some retail items. She said a man picked multiple items to buy and then went ice skating, intending to pay for the items later. When he returned, he said someone stole the items from him. He then picked up another item and walked out of the lake house without paying for it.
3 Unwanted guest. A resident of the 4800 block of South Indian Trail, Evergreen, called Jefferson County Sheriff’s office to request that his tennant’s boyfriend be trespassed from his property. He said the boyfriend was a drunk and passed out in the middle of the living room floor, then threatened the homeowner when he was asked to leave. The man agreed to leave and not return once deputies reported to the residence.
4 Moving to Vermont. A man was arrested Jan. 1 in the 4500 block of Picutis Road, Indian Hills, for kicking his girlfriend in the back during an argument both parties said was regarding a move to Vermont.
