Re: “After jail, signing up for health care,” Jan. 7 letter to the editor.

It is sometimes humorous (irritating but nevertheless humorous) to view the lengths to which liberal apologists are willing to go to invent politically correct terms to confuse and conceal reality.

The amorphous term “justice-involved,” referring to criminals, is apparently in vogue at the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition, as evidenced by its policy coordinator in a recent letter to the editor.

It is entertaining to guess at what other innocuous terms are in play at the coalition. Perhaps murderers are deathbed witnesses, wake arrangers or funeral provisioners; thieves are cigarillo liberators, alcohol distributors, jewel fanciers, purse inspectors and automobile appraisers; drug dealers may be simply enlightened providers, patient helpmates or pharmaceutical resources, etc.
