After a brief cold front passed through the area Thursday, warmer weather is expected to return to Denver over the weekend.
The forecasted high on Friday is 43 degrees, with temperatures expected to jump into the mid-50s by Saturday and the low 60s by Sunday. The high for Sunday is 62 degrees — only 10 degrees short of the record set in 1890.
Denverites can expect sunshine and highs in the mid-60s through Tuesday, with lows in the mid-30s. Typically, temperatures in late January are in the mid-40s, with lows around 17 degrees. The record low was set in 1877, when a temperature of minus 15 was recorded.
