Saturday’s auction of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from Caribou Ranch, a recording studio in Nederland where some of the biggest names in music recorded in the 1970s and ’80s raked in about $800,000, said Kimberly Blomquist of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers.
From Billy Joel and Michael Jackson to Tom Petty and U2, more than 150 artists recorded music at Caribou Ranch. During that time, the studio released 45 Top 10 albums and 20 No. 1 hits.
