Colorado Rapids are working to finalize paperwork to acquire 23-year-old Argentine midfielder Lucas Pittinari on a one-year loan from Belgrano of the Primera División Argentina.
Pittinari is in Denver and will take a physical prior to signing, the Rapids said late Tuesday. He has made 70 appearances across all competitions over the past five season after coming up through Belgrano’s youth system.
Pittinari’s move to MLS was reported earlier this month by . According to the report, Rapids Director of Soccer Claudio Lopez convinced Pittinari to make the move.
