1 Inmate dislikes the food. On Jan. 15, an inmate at the Denver jail, 490 W. Colfax Ave., slammed his head against his cell window, breaking it in the process. According to Denver police, the suspect was mad because he didn’t like the breakfast at the jail.
2 Neighborhood club cited for noise. The owner of the Stone nightclub, 4842 Morrison Road, was cited for a noise violation Jan. 15 after a resident’s complaint. The person who called Denver police lived approximately two blocks away and went to talk to the owner. When he got home, it seemed as if the music had been turned up.
3 Liquor store fight ends with broken glasses. Denver police responded to a fight Jan. 17 at Chambers Place Liquors, 4856 Chambers Road. Police learned that the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal dispute inside the store when the suspect became angry and punched the victim in the face. The blow knocked the glasses off the victim’s face and broke them. (Not on map.)
4 Woman draws on cafe walls. A woman was arrested Jan. 18 after she caused a disturbance at Leela’s European Cafe, 820 15th St. Denver police learned that the woman was observed drawing on the walls in the ladies room. An employee asked her to leave, but she refused and caused a disturbance.
5 Man sells phone, refuses to leave. On Jan. 19, a woman called Denver police after a man refused to leave her property. According to the woman, the man came to the house to collect money for a phone. He then refused to leave after repeated requests and did not respond to threats from the woman to call the police.
