1 Man arrested for pouring beer on blanket. A man was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy for second-degree criminal tampering Jan. 12 in the 4900 block of Little Cub Creek Road, Evergreen, after admitting he poured beer on his girlfriend’s blankets because he was angry she did not take his side in a fight he had with her cousin the night before.
2 Man can’t pay for beer with watch. On Jan. 11, a Jeffco Sheriff’s deputy reported to Tequila’s, 1193 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, where the bartender said a man needed to leave or be charged with theft. The bartender asked for payment for the man’s two beers after he overheard him telling someone over the phone that he had no money. The man then offered his watch as payment for the beers and was asked to leave. The deputy gave the man a ride to West Colfax Avenue and Interstate 70. He was soon picked up for loitering.
3 Food fight. Jeffco Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 3100 block of Buckboard Drive, Evergreen, on Jan. 16. A man came home with hamburgers and coffee to talk with his wife about a recent argument. Angry, he threw his coffee into a trash can, which caused the hot coffee to splash onto his wife. There were claims both parties threw burgers, but since the husband instigated the argument and food throwing, he was arrested for third-degree assault.
4 Tip theft. Anthony’s Pizza, 600 12th St., Golden, reported that on Jan. 12, a man stole the tip jar from the counter. The owner identified a suspect who was not located.
