1 Food supplements stolen. A man called the Lakewood Police Department, 445 S. Allison Parkway, on Jan. 12 to report that a package containing $66 in food supplements was apparently stolen from his front porch. He explained that he does not eat regular food, but exists solely on food supplements that are sent to him weekly.
2 Robber enters home through garage. Sometime between Jan. 17 and 19, a residence in the 2000 block of Lamar Street in Edgewater was burglarized. Preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect entered the residence by breaking the glass in a rear door of the attached garage. There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is continuing.
3 Introducing contraband. Lakewood police pulled over and arrested a motorist Jan. 14 near West Colfax Avenue and Wadsworth Blvd. for a warrant for failure to appear in court. The man claimed he had no illegal items on him, but he was additionally charged with introducing contraband when he was searched at Jefferson County Jail and an officer found a baggie of methamphetamine weighing 7.4 grams in his coat pocket.
4 Man arrested for aggravated motor vehicle theft. On Jan. 22, an Edgewater officer confirmed a resident in the 2800 block of North Harlan Street had his vehicle stolen after Denver Police had stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of West 17th Avenue. They had the motorist in custody for probation for felony menacing and a prior aggravated motor vehicle theft. The suspect was arrested for several offenses including motor vehicle theft and vehicular eluding.
